I've been a Realtor in northern New Mexico since 1995, and I specialize in the Santa Fe area and the towns and villages north of Santa Fe where I have lived since 1982.

 In Santa Fe, you'll find a wide variety of neighborhoods and areas to choose from whether it's a close in older neighborhood like the east side, Casa Alegre and Casa Solano or further out like El Dorado or Las Campanas. Each has their appeal, their amenities and their own community atmosphere.

 I also know the villages . . . Truchas, Chimayo, El Rito, Dixon, Ojo Caliente, Abiquiu and the towns of Espanola, Los Alamos. Each one has a character all its own and so do the properties . . . some with irrigation rights, some without, some on town water some with private wells and septic systems.

You need an agent that knows the special issues from zoning in the city to water rights in the country. I know these issues from hands-on experience and years of dealing with both buyers and sellers in these unique areas. Since I moved to northern New Mexico I have owned properties from Pilar, Taos, Rinconada, Ojo Caliente, Dixon and Espanola and most of those properties had irrigated land and river frontage, private water wells and septic systems . . . issues that are of great importance in this high desert country.

As you can tell, I have plenty of background in buying and selling property in northern New Mexico! After all these house purchases and remodels, I decided in the mid-nineties to change careers from being a craft magazine editor to being a Realtor, and I absolutely love it. I like nothing better than showing people houses. We nearly always have fun figuring out what could be done to make each one better . . . the planning and deciding is often the best part!
